Red, White, & Boom!
Unpopular opinion, but July is probably my favorite month of the year! It may be that it’s perfect popsicle weather, it may be that it’s my birthday month, but I’m always excited when it’s finally July again! Since it’s Independence Day today, my Disney Style look is inspired by the Red, White, and Blue.
Something about this outfit just makes me feel like a firecracker! I think it’s the fact that in July I find myself drawn to red. This red, white, and blue striped crop top feels casual yet patriotic, plus I couldn’t pass up the price! With its lightweight, flowy fabric it’s perfect for all outdoor activities that are bound to happen on this holiday.
These H&M high waisted Mickey shorts were the perfect match! Adding Mickey to my style has become my new obsession, so when I found these shorts featuring my main mouse I knew they would become a summer favorite! I was already needing a lighter pair of denim shorts, so it was obviously fate.
If I could wear everything high waisted, I would in a heart beat! Comfort is key when it comes to my style. These shorts are no longer available at H&M, but I was able to snag mine for a steal on Poshmark! (Shop a similar option here.)
I love Mickey’s playful wink on the back pocket. Fits the look of summer fun in pure Mickey fashion! But this wasn’t the only Mickey detail on these adorable shorts.
The front pockets are also lined with Mickey fabric as well! Hidden Mickeys in clothing keep life magical for me. As for other outfit details, I kept jewelry pretty simple with my favorite Lillian & Co bracelet and a gold Louisiana necklace. Last, I finished the look off with some navy canvas shoes because who doesn’t love navy?
As the month kicks off, these July birthday girls (Roux: July 7, Me: July 14) are ready to make the most of the rest of our summer! We’ve been enjoying the backyard, especially since all the Louisiana rain has died down some.
Though it’s a tad bit hotter out, we are happy to take advantage of longer days which allow for more play time after work! (And lots of popsicles of course!)
