Happy 25th Anniversary, Gilmore Girls! On this day, October 5, 2000, the pilot of Gilmore Girls made its debut on the WB Network. The show would run for seven seasons with 153 total episodes and even a Netflix limited series in 2016, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. It’s my favorite fall rewatch series, and I know I’m not alone in that tradition! There’s just something so cozy and comforting about traveling back to Stars Hollow as the season changes.

As a new mom, I’ve been filling my daughter’s bookshelf with any books that spark joy for me or that I think we can enjoy reading together. So far I’ve had some home runs and it makes me so happy! From fun, vintage finds and favorites from my childhood, to an ever growing of Little Golden Books and books inspired by some of my favorite pop culture references, we never run out of reading in the Killebrew house.

Must-Have Reads for Gilmore Girls Fans

There is so much goodness out there for Gilmore Girls fans to collect! With the 25th anniversary this year, I’ve already seen so much fun new collaborations in the works. These three books are ones that I’ve read with my daughter and can’t wait to continue enjoying together as she gets older!

 

Gilmore Girls: At Home in Stars Hollow

This book is the first Gilmore Girls book I purchased for my daughter’s nursery. The child-like illustration style is a great way to introduce your child to the world of Lorelai and Rory! This book follows the origin story of how Lorelai and her daughter Rory came to a town called Stars Hollow. We get to see where Rory grew up, the potting shed at the Independence Inn and eventually we see their house that we all know as the Gilmore Girls home!

Gilmore Girls: A Stars Hollow Celebration!

While this is a Funko Pop book, which is normally not my favorite style, I really fell in love with this book when I got it! Afterall, it is a Little Golden Book, so of course I had to get it. This book highlights so many fun Stars Hollow celebrations from throughout the series. From the dance celebration to the Festival of Living Art and Spring Fling Festival, this book covers some of my favorite Stars Hollow events in each season of the year! I was really impressed to see how many little details and fun characters they were able to fit in. I truly think this book is a gift that keeps on giving for the Gilmore Girls fan!

Gilmore Girls: Goodnight, Stars Hollow

A Goodnight Moon-style book and a board book? This is a Gilmore Girls fan and toddler mom’s dream! As soon as I saw this book existed and was available for preorder, I started counting down the days until its arrival. I couldn’t think of a more perfect way to highlight all of the unique characters and locations throughout our beloved Stars Hollow! This style of book is perfect for reading at bedtime. My daughter has been drawn to it on her bookshelf so many times from the beautiful coloring and illustrations alone.
